Howdy folks! The SXSW Overflow Fest is nigh, and surprisingly enough, I think we are actually ready for it! We now have 40 bands confirmed for the 8 day festival. 38 of those bands are on tour (representing 11 states and 3 different countries), so come out and support them! As I mentioned last time, the shows will be $8 at the door, but you can get a pass for all 8 shows (March 11th-18th) for $25! We noticed a weird snake pattern to the festival this year, with The Snake Bites, Ice Age Cobra, and Two Ton Boa performing. Panther and The Bears fit into the deadly animal theme. And then there are these shows during which you won't see me working behind the front counter because I will be on the floor: The Mathematicians, The Slats, Green Milk From The Planet Orange, and De Novo Dahl.

Here are a few more bands that we have been getting lots of calls about these folks lately: Eugene Chadbourne, Jonah Matranga, and 31 Knots, so come early for those shows. Poly Panic is playing on Friday, she is definitely worth checking out, and Olivia will be performing her crazy hula-hooping ukulele routine to open the show.
